Detroit Pistons Wins against Atlanta Hawks Share

Detroit Pistons won over Atlanta Hawks Tuesday night at the Palace with 103-80 victory, ending a four-game losing streak.

Still fresh from a Saturday's loss, Pistons decided not to take chances and made its way to victory through the first half and pushed the lead to 12 with a strong finish, thanks to Richard Hamilton, who scored 15 in the first half.

The 32-year old shooting guard scored 20 of his game-high 24 points in the first half, while power forward Charlie Villanueva shared 23 points and 11 rebounds. Villanueva, together with small forward Tracy McGrady, outscored the Hawks with 39-19 in the fourth quarter.

Pistons coach John Kuester said that in every win is a great win. However, he said that he think they have played a complete game Tuesday night. During the game, Villanueva took the most opportune time and poked the ball away twice midway through the fourth quarter, converting both times on a fast break and helping put some distance between the two teams.

In a minute later, Villanueva hit a 15-footer shot as he desperately tried to get a bad taste from Saturday out of his mouth. In an interview after the game, Villanueva said that they did a good job and responded well in the game. After Villanueva did his damage, McGrady hit a trio of three-pointers on his way to a 16-point play.

McGrady performed two-for-13 from three-point range earlier the game, bringing his career record to 34 percent three-point shooter and four of six. Sports analysts exclaimed during the game that McGrady are starting to come along and getting more lift on his jump shots. The 24-year old guard Rodney Stuckey has nonetheless shared a moment of levity late in the fourth quarter that brought the Pistons to a victory.
