Henin beaten on return

Justine Henin's first match in six months saw her edged out by fellow Belgian Kim Clijsters.

The former world number one, who missed the second half of the WTA Tour season due to an elbow injury, was beaten 6-1 3-6 10-5 by her compatriot at the GDF SUEZ Diamond Games exhibition event in Antwerp.

US Open champion Clijsters started like a train but Henin hit back to force the contest, watched by a crowd of around 14,000, into a super tie-break.

Henin's previous match had also ended in defeat to Clijsters - at Wimbledon in June.

The Belgians, who before the match suggested they could team up together in doubles at the London 2012 Olympics, will now turn their attention to the start of the 2011 season and January's Australian Open.

Henin plans to continue her comeback at the Hopman Cup in Perth before playing in the WTA event in Brisbane, while Clijsters' will play an exhibition event in Thailand before making her 2011 WTA debut in Sydney.
