The Idaho Lottery created a new millionaire on their annual $1 million Raffle draw on Wednesday evening.

Aside from the $1 million top prize, the lottery also gave $25,000 to four winners, 250 winners of $250, 500 winners of $100 and 1,750 winners of $50. All the prizes were lump-sum cash payments. The results or the winning numbers can be viewed at Lottery Post's Idaho Lottery Results page.

According to reports, more than 250,000 tickets were available for the raffle with a price of $10 a piece. The selling of the raffle tickets started last October 15, 2010 and the tickets were sold before the drawing period. Reports said that almost 26 percent of the game or 64,000 tickets were bought by the people seven days before the last ticket was bought. The raffle took place at 6:00 pm this evening.

The players can validate $5, $100 and $250 prizes in any Idaho Lottery retail location on Wednesday night. They can also validate the prizes in all the Lottery retail locations when they open their business on Thursday morning. According to Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery director, they are strongly encouraging all their lottery players to sign the back of their raffle ticket before the draw tonight. He said that the tickets are the instruments of the bearers to claim their prize and they want to ensure that each player is protected in their play.

The $1 million prize and the four $25,000 prizes must only be claimed at the Lottery office that is located in Boise.

The players who are going to claim their prizes at Idaho Lottery Headquarters in Boise must take note that the offices will only be open during regular business hours on December 31, 2009 from 8am to 5pm.
