Earthquake trembles Southern Chile with 7.1 magnitudes Share

The southern part of Chile was trembled by an earthquake with a magnitude scale of 7.1 Sunday.

Tens of thousands of people were rapidly evacuated on higher ground in the midst of fears that the earthquake can produce a tsunami like what had happened last year that destroyed the place. Furthermore, Vicente Nunez, the National Emergency Office's head, stated that there were no reports of damage or deaths and there was no alerts released for tsunami.

On the other hand, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, which was based in Hawaii, claimed that a critical Pacific Ocean-broad tsunami was not anticipated.
