Starbucks updated its new logo and unveiled its new wordless Starbucks logo on Wednesday.

The largest Seattle-based coffee company drops the Starbucks coffee words that is encircling on its siren-centered logo, as the only thing remains in the new logo to represent the company and its products.

Starbucks joined on several companies that seek image update this 2011 for a fresh new look. The company changed their logo for the fourth time.

Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz stated that all throughout the last four decades of the company, the Siren has been part of their logo throughout the years.

He added that the company stepped up to give the crowned Siren a meaningful update, by ensuring that the Starbucks brand will continue to embrace its own heritage in ways that are true to its core values. He said that they ensure that the changes they made will remain relevant and poised for the future growth of the company.

According to Schultz, the Starbucks logo modification was a significant move for the company to create a unique retail experience. Their aim is to create a third place for their loyal customers aside from their homes and work places.

Aside from his claim, he added that the company is looking for something different, which is carefully crafted to offer the finest and high-quality coffees from all places around the world, giving their customers and baristas the chance of obtaining emotional connection between them.

Acquiring new logo for the company is a gamble. The company had a 50-50 chances of either brighten up its company's image or simply enrage its loyal consumers.
